Level I: Learn and Describe
Focuses on foundational knowledge and comprehension of investment tools and concepts. The exam consists of 180 multiple-choice questions, divided into two 135-minute sessions, covering topics such as ethical and professional standards, quantitative methods, economics, financial reporting and analysis, and portfolio management.
Level II: Analyze and Evaluate
Focuses on asset valuation and the application of investment tools and concepts. The exam includes 20 vignettes (case studies), each followed by six multiple-choice questions, assessing your ability to analyze and evaluate investment scenarios. Candidates demonstrate their ability to connect financial concepts and apply them in practical investment situations.
Level III: Integrate and Apply
Centers on portfolio management and wealth planning, requiring candidates to integrate and apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios. The exam comprises 8-11 constructed response (essay) questions and ten vignettes, divided into morning and afternoon sessions, focusing on your ability to make effective investment decisions.
